Seeking a Junior Research Assistant in our Singapore office

We are seeking a Junior Research Assistant to join our Singapore office for either 3 months (full time) or 4-6 months (part time).

CEI offers structured training in the workplace. The Junior Research Assistant (RA) programme is designed to offer valuable and relevant professional experience which contributes to an employee's skillset, while offering opportunities to provide support to teams for complex and large research projects.

The role will provide learning opportunities in research and policy work such as:

  • Data collection, management and analysis
  • Rigorous research practices and protocol
  • Administration of standardised assessments
  • Implementation support (providing organisations with a solid foundation to pilot and scale up interventions)
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Project management
  • Proposal writing
  • Business Development

Aside from their immediate project activities, Junior RAs will be valued members of the CEI team and participate in learning sessions, review of articles and other key team activities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Recruitment of participants
  • Preparation and quality-checking of material for data collection
  • Data collection (interviews, with appropriate supervision and guidance provided). Some Junior RAs may have opportunities for observation and assistance in assessment of children
  • Transcription and coding of data
  • Data entry and management
  • Minute-taking
  • General project support tasks, as required

Qualifications/accreditations:

  • Pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Health, Public Health, Social Sciences [Psychology, Social work etc.], Public Policy, or others)
