Enhancing the impact of philanthropy in Singapore
Octava Foundation seeks to provide access to education and opportunities for children and youth from economically disadvantaged families in Singapore. In October 2018, Octava Foundation launched the Dare to Dream Grant which provides funding to selected social purpose organisations working with children and youth aged 0-35 from economically disadvantaged families and/or with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Octava Foundation approached CEI to: (i) review and enhance Octava Foundation’s existing theory of change, funding model and M&E framework, (ii) inform the foundation’s selection of grantees by assessing the ability of potential grantees to execute and sustain their projects, and (iii) provide monitoring and evaluation support directly to grantees.
By supporting its staff and grantees to make evidence-informed funding and implementation decisions, Octava Foundation is maximising the impact generated by its grant-making activities.
