Hege Kornor

Hege Kornør is a research psychologist with more than 20 years’ experience in research synthesis. She is passionate about systematic review methodology and evidence-based practice in health services.

Throughout her career, Hege has carried out numerous systematic reviews of health interventions within medical, psychological and psychosocial fields.

She has contributed internationally as an author on several Cochrane reviews, as an editor in the Cochrane Developmental, Psychosocial and Learning Problems Group, and as a Campbell Collaboration board member.

Hege is an experienced project leader, for both research synthesis projects and developmental work. With a special interest in mental health interventions and psychometrics, Hege was in charge of building a database of systematic reviews of mental health interventions for children and young people (InSum) for the Centre for Child Mental Health (RBUP). She also established a scientific journal for systematic reviews of the psychometric properties of diagnostic tools and symptom scales within child and adolescent mental health (PsykTestBarn).

Hege was Head of Knowledge Management at RBUP (2014-2018) and Department Director at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health's cluster for reviews and health technology assessments (2018-2023). She has a PhD in Addiction Medicine from the University of Oslo and a Master's degree in Psychology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
