Kate Lake is a dedicated qualitative researcher specialising in population health and implementation science. With a strong commitment to health equity, she has contributed to numerous research projects aimed at improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and underserved populations. Her work focuses on understanding systemic barriers and identifying pathways for meaningful, community-led change.

Kate’s research interests centre on system-level interventions to enhance health and social equity, drawing from her background in social and health sciences. She is particularly passionate about collaborative, strengths-based approaches that empower communities and inform policy development.

Kate holds a Bachelor of Social Science and Health Science, with Honours in Health and Medical Science, from the University of Adelaide. Through her academic and professional journey, she continues to explore innovative methodologies that bridge the gap between research, policy and practice to drive sustainable improvements in public health.
