Seyoung Oh is a macro social worker with research experience in Singapore and the US. She has contributed to multidisciplinary projects addressing anti-poverty and anti-racism across public health, banking, housing and social work sectors.

Prior to joining CEI, Seyoung led program evaluation and impact measurement efforts at a suicide prevention organisation in Singapore, where she translated research findings into practice and integrated lived experience into study design. She also has a strong background in data management, overseeing the data quality assurance and dataset management for a longitudinal child development survey.

As a first-generation college graduate and child of immigrants, Seyoung is deeply committed to equity-driven work and social justice. Beyond research, Seyoung has hands-on experience as an educator for adolescents and youth in the US, Mexico, Cambodia, UK and Singapore. These cross-cultural experiences have reinforced her dedication to advocating for marginalised communities.

Seyoung holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan, specialising in Social Policy and Evaluation and International Social Work. Her undergraduate degrees include a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and English from the University of North Carolina.
