CEI co-hosts the global biennial event, the Evidence and Implementation Summit, and its aligned webinar series.
The biennial Evidence and Implementation Summit (EIS) is an exceptional gathering that brings together experts in implementation science, evidence synthesis and program evaluation with policymakers, practitioners, organisation leaders, philanthropists and funders.
EIS bridges the gap between what we know and what we do – to improve people's lives.
All aspects of the drive to apply quality evidence for real-world human benefit are discussed – including the synthesis, generation, translation and implementation of evidence for better policy and practice.
Sharing the latest findings, case-studies, collaborations and new ideas, the Summit is a not-to-be-missed opportunity that energises, inspires and sparks change.
Advances and challenges are discussed across a wide range of fields – from health to international development, family and social services, First Nations perspectives, leadership, education, justice, urban resilience, the environment and climate change.
With inequity and misinformation growing worldwide, closing the ‘know-do’ gap has never been more important or urgent.
EIS was last held 27-29 October 2025 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, in collaboration with the Implementation Science Health Conference Australia.
Bringing together 700 participants from 25 countries over three days, EIS 2025 offered 200+ presentations over 60+ hours of plenaries and concurrent sessions. Almost all content was recorded, and attendees have on-demand viewing access for 12 months post-event.

A brief history of the event
The Evidence and Implementation Summit (EIS) has evolved from the Biennial Australian Implementation Conference, first held in 2012. In 2018, the event's reach expanded, and it was renamed the Global Evidence and Implementation Summit.
In 2021, a completely virtual gathering was held as the world emerged from the Covid-19 pandemic: the Evidence and Implementation Summit (EIS). A global audience of nearly 2,200 participants engaged in 21 hours of live presentations and discussions each day, supported by 10 global partners.

In October 2023, EIS returned to an in-person format at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (Australia), with virtual attendance available worldwide. EIS 2023 was co-hosted by CEI, the National University of Singapore's Centre for Behavioural and Implementation Science Interventions (BISI) and Monash University.
