Welcome to the following staff who have joined our UK & Europe team:
Bianca Albers PhD, Associate Director: Bianca is a seasoned leader in the field of implementation with more than 15 years of experience supporting local government agencies, ministerial units and NGOs in applying principles of quality implementation in practice and policy development. She holds a doctorate from the University of Melbourne, where she studied implementation science as it applies to child and family services. Bianca is an experienced evaluator of implementation processes and outcomes in human services and an avid user of knowledge synthesis methods. As a co-founder of the European Implementation Collaborative, she has helped to shape the European landscape of implementation science and practice. Bianca has a multi-national background and before joining CEI, held multiple leadership positions in Danish and Australian government and intermediary organisations.
Eleanor Ott PhD, Senior Advisor: Ellie is a mixed-methods researcher and research methodologist with experience leading research across academia, government, and non-profit organisations. At CEI, Ellie is leading evaluation, research, and evidence synthesis projects, including work to support better outcomes for children with a social worker, young people at risk of school exclusion, and separated migrant children. She has a doctorate from the Centre for Evidence-Based Intervention at the University of Oxford, where she studied as a Rhodes Scholar. Ellie joins CEI from the Rees Centre at the University of Oxford, where she focused on children supported by social care services including fostered or adopted children. As well as consulting to the UN Refugee Agency she has previously worked as a research analyst and Truman-Albright Fellow in the US Department of Health and Human Services improving research on children and families.
Rebecca Dean, Research Assistant: Becca has a BSc in Psychology with Music from Keele University and a Masters in Clinical and Health Psychology from University of Manchester where she also held a volunteer Research Assistant post. She joins CEI from Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust where she was a Clinical Research Facilitator coordinating clinical trials for mental health and dementia studies, undertaking clinical assessments and research interviews, and recruiting participants to studies. She has delivered psychological interventions to young people with psychosis and worked with adults with learning disabilities and young people with autism spectrum conditions. Becca is working across a range of CEI projects including systematic reviews, an evaluation of an initiative within children's safeguarding, and a school-based family learning programme.
Georgina Mann, Research Assistant: Georgina has a BA in Social and Political Science from University of Cambridge and Masters in International Affairs Global Health from Sciences Po, Paris, and in Psychology from University of Edinburgh. She joins CEI from the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust where she was a Research Assistant working on systematic reviews, research studies and clinical audits with a focus on the effectiveness of psychosocial interventions. She was previously a Clinical research Facilitator at Imperial College London, a senior researcher at a start-up charity managing research on youth mentoring and social mobility programmes, and a research officer at an international NGO with a focus on malaria and childhood illnesses. At CEI Georgina works across a range of projects, including key systematic reviews.
Ludvig Bjørndal, Research Assistant: Ludvig is based in Norway where he is currently completing a master's in clinical psychology at the University of Oslo. He has worked across intervention and evaluation research, decision-making and behavioural psychology, clinical research, and research on risk factors for psychopathology. In his role at CEI, he undertakes literature screening and synthesising, quality assessments of studies and data extraction and coding for evidence reviews. He has held internships and short-term posts with the Regional Centre for Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Oslo; the Norwegian Policy University College Oslo; the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences and the Policy Research Group at the University of Cambridge.
