Jane Lewis has been a key user of and advocate for evidence and implementation science in the UK for a number of years. Her earlier career was in evaluation and research dissemination before a combination of frustration and curiosity drove her into the warm embrace of implementation science.
Jane was previously Head of UK Programme Development & Quality with Save The Children UK (SCUK), leading on innovation, implementation, evaluation and scale-up strategies for SCUK’s UK programmes. Prior to that, she held the position of Director of Implementation Support at the Colebrooke Centre for Evidence and Implementation, and she ran Research in Practice, supporting evidence-informed practice in children’s services in local government and NGOs.
Jane's background is in research and evaluation: she led a research department at NatCen Social Research (one of the premier social policy research and evaluation centres in the UK) for many years, and then ran the research centre at the National Children’s Bureau (one of the UK’s leading NGOs in child and family services).
Jane was previously Managing Director in our UK office and now leads projects for CEI as an Associate Director. She works across evaluation, evidence synthesis and active implementation support and relishes the opportunity to bring these together to improve services and support for children and families.
