Paola dedicates her career to applying psychological research and evidence to improve childhood education and development services.

With a background in both research and practice, Paola has worked across policy and evaluation to strengthen services for children and families. At CEI, she contributes to research and evaluation projects aimed at improving services and policies for young children, with a focus on bridging evidence and practice in the early years and social care sectors.

Before moving to the UK, Paola worked at the Ministry of Education in Peru, where she generated evidence to inform national policies on early childhood education quality and socio-emotional learning in schools. She has also conducted research on early childhood development in Andean communities and assessed parent-infant interactions in urban settings.

Paola’s expertise spans research methodology, capacity building and evidence-informed policymaking. She holds a BA in Psychology from Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, an MSc in Infancy and Early Childhood Development from UCL’s Institute of Child Health, and a Diploma in Childhood Policies and Programmes.

With this multidisciplinary background, Paola brings a developmental, educational and social perspective to her work.
