Passionate about education and mental health, Zo-Er is committed to developing ideas and approaches that rethink how we learn and care for ourselves.
At CEI, Zo-Er is working on projects across a range of areas, from early childhood and fostering, to employability and disability. Her skills include qualitative research, writing, facilitation and curriculum design. Zo-Er also supports CEI's partnership with the Centre for Holistic Initiatives for Learning and Development (CHILD) at National University of Singapore. As part of the EASEL approach (Enhancing and Supporting Early development to better children’s Lives, a CHILD program) that equips early childhood educators with everyday classroom practices promoting children’s social-emotional development and executive functioning, Zo-Er provides implementation support – designing training materials and facilitating Community of Practice sessions.
Prior to CEI, Zo-Er worked as a research assistant in student wellbeing, developing interview scripts and analysing data to inform policy recommendations and refine support structures for students transitioning to new school environments. She also worked as a curriculum development specialist for a charity organisation, designing a wellbeing program for children and young people to enhance self-awareness and emotional regulation through drama activities.
Bringing years of experience in working with children and young people, Zo-Er has developed wellbeing and liberal arts curricula for primary school students, facilitated leadership and career development programs for secondary school students, curated a wellbeing space in a university library, and volunteered in a literacy and befriending program for preschool children.
Zo-Er holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from Yale-NUS College.
