Future Directions for Social Housing in NSW (Future Directions) in New South Wales, Australia was announced in 2016 to address numerous state-based social housing challenges. Along with our partners across various institutes in Australia, CEI published a study protocol for assessing the effectiveness and implementation of Future Directions, including the three social housing programmes.
The consortium is using an effectiveness-implementation hybrid study for this evaluation, with a dual focus on assessing effectiveness and implementation. Our methodology will produce a high-quality evaluation of a large project with hopes to facilitate rapid translational gains, enable real-time adoption of effective implementation strategies, and generate actionable insights for policymakers.
